Great Britain discover Womens EuroBasket 2023 Finals opponents

Great Britain will face France, Germany and co-hosts Slovenia in group stage of the Womens EuroBasket 2023 finals.

The draw has sorted the 16 participating teams for the 39th edition of Europes flagship womens basketball competition.

Chema Bucetas side won a finals spot as one of the best second-placed sides in the qualification phase after two emphatic victories against Estonia and Portugal in February in Manchester.

It is a privilege to be one of the best 16 teams of Europe and play EuroBasket. At this point all teams are strong and I hope we will be able to achieve the high level we need to go far in the competition.

This will require a reasonable preparation programme and a wise team effort and support from players, staff, directors and everyone involved. We have a great opportunity to show how good we can be if everyone is on the same page and rows in the same direction. Positive glasses!
